1-Henge

With moonlights veil upon thee,

Your features stark against the sky,

What secrets wouldst thou dare disclose?

In an ancient lullaby.

2-Autumn Equinox

A circle,

      Before the dark,

Welcoming night.

Wind turns north,

      Ice approaches,

 Giants awake.

Last harvest,

      Stag stands guard,

As one eye looks on.

Fire of life,

      Warmth of wood,

 Dark approaches.

Next corner,

       Next life.

Dark mother awakes,

      As the God sleeps.

Chalice full,

      Fruit of the harvest,

 Drink to Earth,

  As she settles to slumber.

3-Samhain

Death of the year, the end of things.

Earth that sleeps, like the wheel.

Out of time we die

Reborn Pagan, reborn as one.

Drift between time, old and new,

Incandescent spirit lighting the dark.

Rest as the Earth, dormant and cold.

To rise with the sun, in the time after Yule.

4-The Corieltauvi

Oh, the grove of the Corieltauvi,

What a splendid tribe we are.

Tall and thin,

Round and cuddly.

Hirsute,

No suits,

Strong of heart,

  (The occasional fart),

Twinkling of eye,

 But, oh my…

When in circle,

Servants of good,

Warriors in hoods.

Appear in the mist,

(Never pissed)

Loyal grove members,

Stalwart defenders,

(Even in benders)

Of justice and truth.

Total acceptance,

Never an instant,

Of not being held in their hearts.

Off come the hoods,

Out come the foods.

Laughter quite hearty,

 (Again with the farty.)

Family jokes,

Ribs to be poked.

Oh, the grove of the Corieltauvi,

What a splendid tribe we are!

5-October night

The moon hangs low,

In the cloudless sky.

Black ribbons of shadow

Cast by its pale light.

Across the open moor land,

On this cold October night.

And all around is quiet.

Arms raised high,

Head held back.

Words spoke,

Circle cast.

She stands between the worlds,

On this cold October night.

Whilst all around is quiet.

Lazy spirals of incense smoke,

 Pulled by a gentle breeze,

Wrap around a worn and

Crumpled photograph,

Washed clean with countless tears,

On this cold October night,

Whilst all around is quiet.

The flickering, dancing, Lantern light,

Brings memories of his face alive,

Reminders of a world gone by,

A single tear escapes her eye.

On this cold Samhain night,

Her heart breaks for the millionth time,

And all around is quiet

6-Oak

O mighty Oak,

In whose branches,

The mistletoe dances

And ravens dream of mans future,

Lend me your shelter,

As I sit beneath your boughs

For my spirit grows ever bolder.

7-You only live forever

I don’t believe in sin

So where do you begin

To get off

To tell me I’ll be judged

By rules of you report

By a justice you have judged

Your own snare and you are caught

By the truth that you distort.

You only live forever

So don’t miss out on the chance

Limits are for never

Follow your dreams and dance.

I don’t believe you when you say

Yours is the one and only way

And with pout it you will surely pay

You seem to need to rule by fear

Poor dried up nonsense, lacking cheer.

You only live forever

So don’t miss out on the chance

Limits are for never

Follow your dreams and dance.

I don’t believe you when you preach

Without you freedoms out of reach

You’re limited in what you teach

You claim no one else has the answers

But I see truth elsewhere, like dancers

Moving within the flow of life, enhancers.

You only live forever

So don’t miss out on the chance

Limits are for never

Follow your dreams and dance.

I don’t believe you, you say love

Can only come from above

And only handled by your glove

Love also comes from down below

It’s all around, an inner flow

It’s what we are so say hello!

And dance! You only live forever

So don’t miss out on the chance

Limits are for never

Follow your own dreams

8-Hawthorn

O Ancient one

Who’s sacred bough,

Does my soul and heart endow,

With balance.

Sense.

The common kind,

Of what to hold or leave behind.

To know you’ll live before and after,

All the plans I’ve striven after.

 O wondrous one,

Whose constant might

Does my very bones ignite

With worship and thanks

That such as thee

Should watch over and shelter me.

9-It always rains in Wales

It always rains in Wales they say,

As the sun dazzles my eyes.

It always rains in Wales they say

As I water the sun baked ground.

It always rains in Wales they say

As I fill the dried up wildlife pond.

It always rains in Wales they say

As the washing dries in the warm breeze.

It always rains in Wales they say

As the rain comes down to water the land – Hooray!

10-Minced me

You make minced me

An object

Of your purchasing power.

For your degree

You select

How to fuck up a flower.

You can’t agree

You reject

And your soul has gone sour.

You make the tree

Your project

And don’t honour the hour.

You’ve gone mad

And I’ve gone sane

You pour your soul

Right down the drain

You think you’re cool

But you’re a pain

I hope I won’t be seeing

You again.

11-Beltane rite

With winters cold memories gone by,

Lengthening days and warm blue skies,

We leap between the Beltane fires.

With open arms and knowing smiles,

The twinkle in a lover’s eye,

With sensuous rhythm of deep desire,

We celebrate the dance of life,

With this, our Beltane rite.
